Veneers are wafer thin shells of tooth coloured material which are bonded to your teeth using an adhesive. They can be used individually, or as a set, to change the colour, shape, size, or length of your teeth, providing you with a beautiful smile. At Bridgford Dental Practice we choose to use high quality porcelain veneers as they resist staining better than other materials and also provide the most realistic texture and appearance.

About Veneers at Bridgford Dental

The first step in getting dental veneers is a consultation with your dentist. During this visit, your dentist will examine your teeth, take x-rays, and discuss your goals for treatment. If you are a good candidate for veneers, your dentist will create a treatment plan and schedule your first appointment.

At your first appointment, your dentist will prepare your teeth for the veneers by removing a small amount of enamel from the surface of each tooth. This is necessary to ensure a proper fit and to make room for the veneer. Your dentist will then take an impression of your teeth and send it to a dental laboratory, where your custom veneers will be made.

Once your veneers are ready, you will return to our practice here in West Bridgford for the final placement. Your dentist will place the veneers on your teeth to check the fit and colour. If everything looks good, your teeth will be cleaned and polished, and the veneers will be permanently bonded to the surface of your teeth using a special adhesive. After the veneers are in place, your dentist will make any final adjustments to ensure a comfortable and natural-looking fit.
